GOSHEN — Goshen earned a share of the SBAAC American Division crown Monday with a 48-29 win over Wilmington.
The Hurricane slips to 8-12 with the loss, 3-7 in the division. Wilmington has lost four of its last five and seven of the last 10.
The Warriors are 9-1 in the American, sharing the crown with Western Brown. The Broncos defeated New Richmond 81-18 Monday to close out the league season.
Goshen has won three straight games and seven of its last eight. The Warriors were 53-41 winners over the Hurricane in the first meeting on Jan. 5.
Through the first two quarters, it was a close game. The Warriors led 8-4 after one and just 18-14 at halftime.
But in the third period, the Warriors began to separate themselves. Goshen outscored Wilmington 17-8 in the third and 13-7 in the fourth quarter to close out the win.
