On Thursday, Feb. 9, the Clinton County Trails Coalition met for its monthly meeting. The main purpose of this meeting was to elect new officers and trustees to the committee for the 2023 planning year.

The group set new goals for the year centered around their mission of building recreational trails in Clinton County and adjacent areas for the purpose of connecting to and extending existing trails.

Throughout the year, the group will collaborate on a number of different activities including grant writing; designing programs and events on existing trails; strategizing how to develop and extend trails; maintaining trails; and building relationships with neighboring counties for the connection of trails.

The Trails Coalition meets the second Thursday of each month in the Municipal Building in the Community Room at 6 p.m. The public is always welcome.
