A night with big smiles, full hearts

BLANCHESTER — ”Night to Shine” was held Friday evening at Elevation Community Church. Around 100 honored guests with special needs were treated like royalty by almost 200 volunteers.

All of the honored guests received a catered dinner by Highly Flavored Catering, photo booth photos by Mackenzie Shouse, professional prom photos by Beach Photography, videography by Joe Dunlap and were greeted by the Chick-fil-a cow and Detective Jeffers from the Blanchester Police Department.

Throughout the evening, honored guests danced the night away with a one-on-one buddy while their parents/guardians or providers were treated to a pampered evening with food from Beaugard’s Southern BBQ, comfortable furniture to relax on provided by Rent to Own, giveaways from local businesses — including the Wilmington News Journal — and free massages from Deb Troutman.

At the end of the night, each honored guest was crowned king or queen of the prom.

“It was such an amazing evening and all those involved left ECC that night with big smiles and full hearts,” organizers said.
