Durr picks up weekly OAC track, field honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Wilmington College men’s track and field sophomore JJ Durr has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week.

Durr, a sophomore from West Lafayette, Ohio, won the weight throw at the Indoor All-Ohio Championships with a heave of 58-3 at the Steemer Center on the campus of Wittenberg University. That throw is currently 20th in all of NCAA Division III. He also competed in the shot put and aided the Quakers to a fourth-place finish as a team.

Wilmington heads to Muskingum University for the Muskingum Invitational on Friday.
