Ramsey earns berth to first OHSAA girls wrestling championship

HARRISON — Clinton-Massie’s Kaylee Ramsey finished third Sunday in the Harrison Regional Girls Wrestling Championship tournament at Harrison High School.

With her finish, Ramsey qualifies for the inaugural OHSAA-sanctioned Girls State Wrestling Championship. The tournament will run Friday through Sunday, simultaneously with the boys tournaments, at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of Ohio State University.

Clinton-Massie freshman Abigail Crouse went 3-2 on the day.

“Both of our girls wrestled great Sunday,” CM coach Spencer Running said. “We’re really proud of Kaylee for qualifying for the state tournament and we’re excited for her to showcase her talent next week.”
