Wilmington College earned two Ohio Athletic Conference weekly honors.

Aaron Boster (pitcher of the week) and Judaea Wilson (hitter of the week) were honored by the conference for their performances over spring break last week.

Boster, a junior member of the baseball team from Mason, won both of his starts over the week and allowed just two earned runs in 13 innings while striking out 18. Boster’s first start came in the Quaker Bowl Rivalry series at Earlham College, a school that Wilmington had not beaten in a series in more than a decade.

He won the second game of the series by striking out 10 in six innings and followed that with a seven-inning shutout of Hiram College at home on Sunday.

Wilmington, which has won eight of its last nine games, stands at 8-7 on the season.

Wilson, a sophomore member of the softball team from Delaware’s Rutherford B. Hayes High School, hit .605 as WC went 8-2 on its spring trip to Florida. Wilson, who hit safely in nine of 10 games, tallied multi-hit contests in all but three games and scored 15 runs. In two contests, she finished a perfect 4-for-4 and crossed the plate on four occasions.

Wilmington, which stands at 8-4 on the season, will host Bluffton University for the Quakers’ home-opener on Wednesday.
