BATAVIA — Sydney Doyle scored five times and drove in five teammates in Clinton-Massie’s 17-12 win Wednesday over Batavia in SBAAC American Division softball.

The Falcons are 2-4 overall, 1-4 in the American. Batavia is 5-5 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

“Happy with the way the girls came out and put the ball in play,” Massie manager Brandon Lewis said of his team’s 14-hit attack.

Massie also took advantage of 12 Batavia bases on balls.

Doyle belted a three-run homer in the second and added two more RBI in the third as the Falcons went up 12-4.

“Doyle led the way with the power that got us going and the rest of the girls did a good job of getting some walks and making contact,” Lewis said. Clinton-Massie had just one strikeout at the plate.

Maddie Courson pitched the first six innings for the win. Layla Davis closed out the win with one inning pitched. Davis and Emma Crombie also had three hits each.
