GEORGETOWN — As a late entrant, Wilmington won the boys and girls meets Friday at the Friday Night Under the Lights Invitational at Georgetown High School.
Wilmington was originally scheduled to attend the Xenia Invitational but the meet was not contested.
Zeth Cowin claimed first place in the shot put and discus for the Hurricane, who won seven events total.
Blaize Johnson won the 400-meter dash and was runnerup in the 110-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash.
Wilmington won nine events in the girls meet with seven individuals and two relays taking the top spot in those victories. Two Tippetts — Aidynne in the discus and Bryn in the pole vault — were winners. Madilyn Brausch won the 1,600-meter run and was runnerup in the 3,200-meter run.
