A culvert repair project on multiple routes in Clinton and Greene counties is set to begin today, with temporary restrictions in effect on State Routes 729 and 380.

Today and Tuesday, a single-lane closure will be in effect on State Route 729 at the 0.28-mile marker, between Derivan and Leeka roads, in Clinton County for invert paving and repair of the corrugated metal pipe, according to a Ohio Department of Transportation news release.

Crews will then move to the 6.15-mile marker on State Route 729, between Henry and Cox roads, on Wednesday, followed by State Route 380 in Greene County, between Spring Valley-Paintersville Road and Peterson Road, on Thursday and Friday.

Single-lane restrictions will be in effect at each location from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, and traffic will be maintained by temporary signals during hours of operation. At all other times, two-way traffic will be maintained with no restrictions, and the schedule of all work will be contingent upon the weather.

The project also includes repairing culverts at locations on State Route 350 in Clinton County, as well as U.S. 35 and State Route 380 in Greene County; however, a schedule for these sites has yet to be determined.

BCC Ohio, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $392,926 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in September 2024.

All work will be contingent upon the weather. For ongoing traffic, construction and weather-related information throughout the state, please visit www.OHGO.com.
