Wilmington girls top field at The Iron Clad

HILLSBORO — Leading from start to finish, the Wilmington High School girls bowling team won the Iron Clad tournament at Highland Lanes.

In the eight baker game qualifying round, Wilmington had 1,365 with the best games being 204 and 185.

In the head to head round, Wilmington outlasted Miami Trace 2-1. WHS won the first game 181 to 160 then lost a close one 189 to 170. WHS put a ribbon on the win with a 201 to 160 triumph.

In the finals against Bethel-Tate, Wilmington had everything going for it with games of 211 and 213 for a 2-0 win.
