CLARKSVILLE — Multiple departments responded to house fire on Sunday morning.

According to a Facebook post by the Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District, they were dispatched to a “working structure fire” at the 700 block of Nauvoo Road in Clarksville.

Heavy smoke and fire were reported being spotted by multiple callers, according to the post. Upon arrival, firefighters saw the heavy smoke coming out of two sides of the structure, quickly deploying an “attack line for an aggressive interior attack.”

Crews were on the scene for three hours. The post indicates the crew “knocked the bulk of the fire down as they performed a primary search.”

No injuries were reported, and all occupants of the house were accounted for, according to officials. One pet was found deceased within the structure upon a second search. The Red Cross was called to assist the occupants, who were evaluated and released by the Blanchester EMS.

No cause for the fire was given at this time.

The Fire District received mutual aid from the Wilmington Fire Department, the Blanchester-Marion Township Fire Department, and the Salem-Morrow Fire Department.
