BREAKING: Williams stepping down as WHS girls coach after 8 seasons

After eight seasons, Zach Williams has stepped down as the varsity girls basketball coach at Wilmington High School.

Williams and the Hurricane finished its season with a 13-11 record. Wilmington won two tournament games before being ousted in the Division II South 1 Sectional championship game by No. 2 seed Badin.

Williams led the Hurricane to a 116-70 record in his eight seasons.
