Modern Woodmen of America recently teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help raise funds for Habitat’s building projects.

Habitat hosted a golf outing at the Elks Golf Club on Friday, July 21, 2023. Funds raised through the outing totaled $13.229.37. Modern Woodmen matched up to $2,500 of the fundraiser to bring the total proceeds to $15,729.37, according to a news release.

Eighty-five golfers enjoyed an afternoon of golf while helping Habitat raise much needed funds.

Modern Woodmen District Agent Dan Mayo said, “We were pleased to partner with Habitat for Humanity annually as we appreciate the values of this organization in helping to build homes for families in need. Twelve great volunteers from Habitat helped organize the event. We are grateful for all they do to help families in Clinton County. Modern Woodmen seeks quality organizations to work together to make its communities a better place to live. Our Matching Funds program is one of our feature programs in accomplishing this objective.”

Habitat for Humanity representative Wendell Compton said the following about the outing: “The Habitat for Humanity Clinton County organization continues to be extremely grateful to Modern Woodmen for their continued support. This donation goes a long way to helping as many families as we can own their own homes.”
