WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College baseball team was defeated by Wittenberg 23-8 Tuesday at Tewksbury-Delaney Field.
Wilmington had 14 hits, with four players collecting at least two hits each. Evan Kelsey led the WC hit parade with four hits.
The Quakers are 2-12 on the year and opens Ohio Athletic Conference play 1 p.m. Saturday at TDF.
Kelsey’s four hits gives him 159 for his career, the most by a WC player since 2013.
Kyle Jennings and Max Gildea had three hits each while Jared Lammert had two. Gildea drove in three runs and Lammert knocked in two.
