Quakers split OAC doubleheader with Student Princes

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Wilmington College baseball team split a doubleheader Saturday on the road John Carroll, dominating game one, 14-6, and losing game two, 13-3.

Wilmington is 3-13 in Ohio Athletic Conference play and will host Mount St. Joseph University 4 p.m. today for a single game.

In game one, Max Gildea had four hits and two runs batted in for WC. Jared Lammert had three hits and an RBI.Carter Scheben and Dylan Montgomery both had two hits, with Scheben also driving in four runs. Evan Kelsey had three RBI.

Gildea (1), Trent Mendenhall (1), and Hayden Wibbeler (3) teamed up for five strikeouts on the mound.

In the second game, Scheben was 3-3 with an RBI. Lammert had a pair of hits and a pair of runs scored. J.C. Calhoun had an RBI.
