WILMINGTON — Clean-Up Wilmington hosted five clean-up activities in April and had 78 volunteer participants.

These volunteers covered over 10 miles of city streets and collected 36 bags of litter, according to a news release.

“We would like to extend a big “thank you” to all our volunteers and our community cleaning partners,” the release states. “This month we were privileged to collaborate with Amazon Air, TimberTech, Main Street Wilmington, and Wilmington College. Thanks for cleaning with us!”

The next regularly-scheduled Clean-Up event will take place on Saturday May 18 at 9 a.m. No prior sign-up is required, and they will be meeting at the municipal building, located at 69 N. South St. If your business, school, or organization would like to plan a clean-up day, please contact Annen Vance at 937-382-6509 or [email protected].
