WC baseball drops slugfest to MSJ 14-9

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College baseball team lost to Mount St. Joseph 14-9 Monday at Tewksbury-Delaney Field.

Wilmington will play at Earlham 6 p.m. today.

Carter Scheben led the Quakers with three hits and tied with Kyle Jennings for the game-high of three runs batted in. Scheben has eight RBI over his last three games.

Jared Lammert, Evan Kelsey and Max Gildea all had two hits. Kelsey, Scheben, and Jennings all scored two runs.

Wilmington had 11 hits in the game. This is their 10th game this season with 10 or more base hits.

Trent Mendenhall struck out five in a solid five-inning start for the Quakers.
