Wilmington College men’s basketball junior Jeffery Mansfield earned first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors this season.

Mansfield, a graduate of Wilmington High School, led the Fightin’ Quakers in scoring (17.7 points per game), rebounding (5.0 boards per contest) as well as dishing out a league-best 5.4 assists per game. He scored in double figures in all but one game this season and crossed the 20-point plateau on five occasions.

A member of the 2021 OAC All-Tournament team, Mansfield is the second Wilmington individual (Malcolm Heard II) to earn first team All-OAC honors more than once in his career. Heard also is a graduate of Wilmington High School.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Jeff,” WC men’s basketball head coach K.C. Hunt said. “He played through injury, double teams, triple teams and was still able to be incredibly efficient. He is a tremendous player and terrific representative of Wilmington College.”

Wilmington finished its 2020-21 season with 4-10 overall record and made the program’s first appearance in the OAC tournament semifinals in six years.
