GOSHEN — The Blanchester softball team lost a pair of non-league games to Goshen Saturday, 9-7 and 7-1.
Down 8-3, Blanchester (3-17 on the year) rallied late in the first game, scoring four runs in the sixth to make it 8-7. Goshen (6-10) held on for the win.
Lydia Peters had two hits, including her first career varsity homerun. Rianna Mueller, Emma Case and Noelani Tangonan had two hits each.
“Despite the outcome of today’s games, I think we continued to take steps in the right direction and are improving each time we take the field.” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said.
