CINCINNATI — The Blanchester High School girls soccer team season came to an end Saturday night with an 11-0 loss to Wyoming in a Div. II sectional second-round match at WHS.
The Ladycats, champions of the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference’s National Division, finished the year with a record of 9-2-7.
Kayla Hampton, an All-Ohio player, according to BHS coach Kurt Ballinger, said Wyoming was simply “too much” for the Blanchester squad.
“Wyoming put on a display of skill and shooting finesse,” Ballinger said as WHS built a 5-0 lead at halftime.
Ballinger said Emma Gundler and Tatum Kirby played strong games for Blanchester as did keeper Chloe Caplinger.
