BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School tennis team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday, defeating Hillsboro 4-1 in a non-league match on the BHS courts.
“Happy to have the whole team play so well against a Hillsboro squad,” BHS head coach Scot Shepard said. “Happy for the first-year players to pick up their first career victories.”
Blanchester, 1-1 on the year, got off to a good start with Jake Miller posting a 6-0, 6-2 win over Spencer Brown at first singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Hunter Miller and Hunter Collier were 6-4, 6-1 winners.
