GEORGETOWN — The Blanchester High School boys soccer team was defeated by Georgetown 4-1 Monday night in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division match at GHS.
The Wildcats are 1-1 in all matches and the National Division.
Georgetown is 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the National Division.
Cameron Gibson scored on a header in the first half to give Blanchester a 1-0 lead. The play was set-up by a throw-in by Brant Bandow. Topher Farrow then had a header to Gibson who found the back of the net with a header of his own.
But the G-Men went up 2-1 by halftime and added two more goals in the second half.
Blanchester coach Troy Ballinger said his squad “had a slew of offensive attacks but couldn’t finish.”
