WILMINGTON — Save the date and plan to join the Wilmington College Veterinarians of Tomorrow for their 13th annual Dog Walk on Sunday, May 6.
The fun begins at 2 p.m. at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park with dog/owner teams choosing a 1.3- or 2.6-mile course.
You may pre-register in advance of the dog walk or register the day of the event. Pre-registration is available and the fee is $12 for the first dog; if a second is pre-registered, there is an additional charge of $6. Email [email protected] by April 29 with your name, address, email, dog’s name and breed, age, if up-to-date with vaccinations and whether your pet has any aggressive behavior around other dogs.
Registration at the event is $15 and if you bring a second dog, the registration fee is $21. Registration begins at 1 p.m. the day of the event at Shelter B.
The charitable event benefits the Wilmington Area Humane Society (WAHS) and has become a spring tradition for canines and their people. Non-dog owners are also invited to participate.

The Veterinarians of Tomorrow is a Wilmington College student organization for those who hope to work with animals in the future. The organization is led by President Chelsea Argo, Vice President Shelby Robinson, Secretary Sidney Dubois and Treasurer and Alexis Funk.
The event will take place rain or shine.
