The Wilmington Chapter of Modern Woodmen of America teamed up with Wilmington Parks and Recreation on a Matching Funds Project to help raise money for the new Castle Park II playground at Denver Park.

“We were pleased to partner with Wilmington Parks and Recreation on this project as they strive to provide what they refer to as a ‘next generation playground’ for the children of our community,” said Modern Woodmen District Agent Dan Mayo. “It is an exciting project, and we appreciate the efforts put forth to complete this playground. Modern Woodmen seeks quality organizations to work together with to make its community a better place to live. Our Matching Funds program is one of our feature programs in accomplishing this objective.”

Jermaine Isaac, Park Superintendent, said this about the project, “This project is very special to our community. Many people were involved in the original build, and we look forward to giving a new generation the same experience.

“We are very lucky to have partners such as Modern Woodmen in our community to help make projects like this become a reality.”
