Ireland Road closing set

Ireland Road will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Monday, July 8, weather permitting, according to the Clinton County Engineer’s Office.

This culvert is located between Cuba Road and SR 134 in Union Township, approximately a half-mile west of SR 134. The last address accessible from the west (SR 134) is 488 Ireland Road, and the last address that will be accessible from the east (Cuba) is 702 Ireland Road.

The project is anticipated to take one week, weather permitting.

Open seat on county RZC

There presently is an open seat on the Clinton County Rural Zoning Commission. Members of this body are appointed by the Clinton County commissioners, who welcome applications.

The Clinton County Rural Zoning Commission meets as needed. Members receive $35 per meeting as compensation.

Hubbard grad of Heidelberg

Timothy Hubbard of Sabina graduated Magna Cum Laude with the Class of 2019 at Heidelberg University in Tiffin on May 12 with a B.A. in theatre.

Locals earn Capital honors

Capital University announced local honorees for spring 2019 semester.

Earning president’s list honors were Daniel Andrews, Morgan Bahr, Chad Davis and Heather Fryman, all of Wilmington. Earning dean’s list honors was Brandon Madden of Wilmington.
