The history of the club and various club community service projects during the years was presented by Kiwanians Fred Matthews and Mack Fife, who are the charter members and still members of the club.

They stated that the Kiwanis Clubs of Miamisburg, Xenia, Washington Court House and of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada co-sponsored the club in starting in 1979.

The Wilmington Kiwanis Club is proud of being a part of the rich history of Wilmington and Clinton County by doing its mission: Serving the children of Clinton County, Wilmington and the world.
