Sutherland USAF basic grad

U.S. Air Force Airman Alexis A. Sutherland graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Sutherland, the daughter of Lisa M. and William B. Sutherland of Blanchester, is a 2019 graduate of Blanchester High School.

EC Class of ‘69 to reunite

Invitation letters have been mailed for the 50-year reunion of East Clinton High School’s Class of 1969.

On Friday evening, Sept. 13, the celebration will begin at the home of John and Carol Joy in New Vienna for a cookout. On Saturday, Sept. 14 the class will be gathering at McCoy’s Catering on Gurneyville Road near Wilmington for dinner and reminiscing.

Stowe Road now open

The bridge maintenance on Stowe Road has been completed and the road is now open, according to the Clinton County Engineer’s Office.
