Clinton County Amateur Radio Association will be hosting an event in the Clinton County Courthouse lawn on Saturday, Aug. 24 and everyone is welcome to come check out ham radio. Host will be wearing gray shirts and have a banner displayed.

If you like what you see, CCARA will be holding a licensing exam beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Foster J. Boyd, MD Regional Cancer Center across from Clinton Memorial Hospital.

The test is free, but you will need to bring identification. Contact CCARA on their Facebook or at CCARA.net for more information.

They will also be starting a class for the General License; you will need to purchase the book used for the class. The class will begin on Sept. 8 and run through Oct. 20. The class will be followed with another test session on Oct. 27.
