BLANCHESTER — The Board of the Blanchester Pool and Recreation Center expresses its appreciation for another generous donation from the efforts of a Blanchester business — BDK Feed & Supply — and their partnership with Bonide products.
BDK Feed & Supply held a weekend event in which a percentage of Bonide purchases were donated to the project. This year the event allowed for a $500 donation to the Blanchester Pool & Recreation Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the continued support of BDK Feed & Supply and the owners Darrell and Brenda Kingsland. The Kingsland family supports our mission and the Blanchester community in so many ways,” said a Blanchester Pool & Recreation Center board member. “Time and again they give with such generous hearts.
“2019 has been a huge year for the Blanchester Pool & Recreation Center project! We have secured a 10-acre parcel of land and have recorded record amounts of donations! We are so hopeful for what 2020 may bring!”
The goal of our project is to build a pool and multi-purpose recreation center in Blanchester.
The group’s mission is to “create and promote healthy lifestyles by connecting the community and individuals to safe, fun, and educational programs and activities through diverse facilities and amenities.”
“We continue to work towards our goal by raising funds and meeting with individuals and businesses,” the board stated. “We hope to make big strides in 2020! We are now considering naming rights for companies or foundations that want to make a big ‘splash’ for our pool and recreation center! Please consider us in your 2020 budgeting or as a 2019 end-of-year tax deductible donation to: The Blanchester Pool and Recreation Center, Inc. c/o First National Bank of Blanchester, 121 E. Main St., Blanchester, OH 45107
