PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (AP) — The trial for an Ohio couple charged in the death of their months-old son, whose body was found in a well, has been scheduled to start Monday.

Jessica and Daniel Groves have pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and other charges in the death of their son, Dylan, who was born last January.

His body was found in June in a well not far from their home in Otway, roughly 75 miles south of Columbus.

Authorities haven’t disclosed a cause of death.

They say Dylan was removed from his parents’ custody when he was born with drugs in his system but was later returned to his father.

The state determined that Scioto County Children Services mishandled the boy’s case and didn’t follow required procedures. The agency was ordered to submit a corrective action plan.
