Fuyao announces expansion, more jobs at Moraine plant

MORAINE, Ohio (AP) — A Chinese automotive glass manufacturer’s $46 million investment in its plant in Ohio will expand the current facility and add 100 jobs , the company said Monday.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine joined company officials and China Consul General Huang Ping in making the announcement at the Fuyao Glass America facility in Moraine.

“This expansion further consolidates Fuyao’s footprint in Ohio and demonstrates confidence in the people who are on the job here,” the Republican governor said.

The company also will acquire an additional 161,000 square feet (14,957 square meters) at the Moraine facility.
