Pork Pride 4-H meets virtually

The Pork Pride 4-H Club met virtually on Sunday, June 28 with 20 in attendance.

President Stanley Chesney called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Isaac Chesney led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Mikala Hatfield led us in the 4-H Pledge. Mikala Hatfield gave the Secretary’s Report. Stanley Chesney gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Randy Pinkerton went over watching for emails from Tracie Montague; FCS projects should get an email to sign up for a judging time; Cloverbuds will have an email sent to sign up for their judging also; Skill-a-thon is cancelled for this year; and FCS Awards Ceremony has been cancelled.

The Tony Grapevine Sweepstakes is cancelled for this year; July 10 is Pre-Fair Judging in the Peterson Building with the awards right after judging, limited seating and only 15 minutes for judging; July 10 from 3-7 p.m. you need to get your FCS projects into the Junior Fair Building and a 4-H volunteer will come out to you to assist in the drop off; wristband pickup is July 3 and July 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; there is only one entrance to the fair; goats, lambs and hogs stay at your pens for your barn meetings and for weigh in; send out buyer letters; only the Grand and Reserve Grand winners will take their animals through the auction; went over judging times and dates as well as show times and dates; and we will do our meal after the fair this year, maybe in August.

Community Service and the Facebook group for Pork Pride was discussed.

The meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
