Since Covid-19 restrictions prevented some of the Spring CDE contests from taking place, the Ohio FFA Association was able to allow these contests to be made up in August.

East Clinton FFA members normally spend all spring studying and preparing for contest and then compete in those contests in the spring, but all of those contests were postponed and recently just made up.

We were able to get students to compete in dairy cattle judging, equine judging, vet science, agronomy, engines and livestock judging.

The dDairy team of Jenna Stanley, Maggie Mathews, Quinten Tolle, Nathan Vest, Timmi Mahanes, Teddy Murphy, Sydney Bosier, Dallas Harner, Chelsey Zurface, Ryan Vance, Katie Carey, Zach Vest, Lydia Kessler, Katie Carey and Maddi Davis finished fourth in the state, qualifying for Nationals. The judgers were Maggie Mathews who finished 12th, Jenna Stanley 15th, Nathan Vest 17th and Quinten Tolle was 23rd.

The Equine team of Kori Kile, Emma Malone, Anna Malone, Katie Carey, Alycia Barker and Brody Fisher placed second in the state, also qualifying for Nationals. Emma was fourth overall, Anna 12th overall, Kori 23rd, and Alycia and Katie also judged for the team.

The Vet Science team of Carah Anteck, Maggie Mathews, Jenna Stanley and Alycia Barker finished seventh in the state with Carah and Jenna finishing the highest on the team.

The Engines team of Colton Woods, Nate Ellis, and Ethan Kessler placed fourth in the district and 13th in the state.

The Agronomy team of Carter Carey, Marci Ellis, Lanie Clark and Carah Anteck placed ninth in the state and third in the district.

The Livestock team of Alexis Rolfe, Aaron Rolfe and Dylan Arnold competed in the livestock contest and are awaiting results.

Thank you to our proctor and the assistance from the school for allowing us to put on the contests.
