Love for Ohio transit systems, riders

Ohio Loves Transit Week was Feb. 7-14, and to help promote the event, Clinton County’s Mobility Manager Allison Katter provided several transit agencies in Clinton County with several hundred gift bags for their riders.

The bags contained masks, buttons, hand sanitizer and information about all transit providers within Clinton County.

Clinton County Community Action also promoted the event via their Facebook Page with daily facts and reminders about why Ohio needs transit.

Ohio Loves Transit is an annual event and creates awareness of need for transit. Every segment of Ohio – businesses, communities, individuals and families – benefit from public transportation. Transit is an essential service that impacts economic development, insures sustainable lifestyles and a higher quality of life.

Transit drives our economy, with statistics showing that every $1 invested in public transit generates $4 in economic return. It also works for Ohio providing efficient, reliable and affordable transportation and a vital link for our communities.

Local transit agencies connect your friends and neighbors to essential job and doctor’s appointments. They help those who take care of others. Whether it’s delivering groceries, or providing a ride to get a vaccine, local transit agencies are the lifeline of their communities.
