COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohioans filed 15,158 initial traditional unemployment claims last week, which was 240 fewer than the previous week.
The state’s residents filed 59,626 continued traditional unemployment claims last week, which was 591 fewerthan the previous week.
The total number of traditional claims filed Jan. 16-22 was 74,784.
Ohio’s unemployment rate in December was 4.5%. The national unemployment rate in December was 3.9%.
Ohio’s labor force participation rate in December was 61.5%. The national labor force participation rate in December was 61.9%.
