Riddle me this, Batman!

R+L Carriers held its annual Halloween Costume Day, and the whole Safety Department participated by dressing up as Heroes and Villains to celebrate 50 years of Batman TV. Beginning in 1939, Batman was the main action hero of the DC Comics books series created by writer Bob Kane and artist Bill Finger, on which the TV series was based. Eventually the efforts of several terrific characters were added and are shown in the photo: The Joker, Scarecrow, Black Mask, Alfred, Commissioner James Gordon, Celia Kazantkakis, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Batman, The Riddler, Robin, Cat Woman, and additional versions of The Joker and The Riddler. Some of you who are old enough can appreciate the simple humor and fantastic imagination of the Comics creators. You probably also remember as a child chanting the 1960s famous “Batman Theme” written by Neal Hefti: “Nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana BATMAN!”
