Grab a bite, get a shot on election day

Election Day Dinner and Bazaar is Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Blanchester Grace UMC at Wright and Center streets with proceeds going to missions. Lunch is 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner is 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Enjoy bean soup and corn muffins, vegetable soup, chili, pulled pork sandwiches, hot chicken sandwiches with relish, cole slaw, broccoli salad, pretzel salad, pies and brownies and lemonade, iced tea and coffee. Carry-out or delivery orders available, call 783-3655 or fax 937-625-4171 (drinks are not available for carry-out or delivery).

Annual Election Day meals will be served at Lees Creek United Church of Christ, 57 Cox Road in Lees Creek. Noon meal includes chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple sauce, rolls, pie and beverages all for $8/adults and $4/child.

Evening meal includes soup and sandwiches and leftovers from noon, all a la carte. Noon meal from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. Evening serving 5-7 p.m. Carry-out available both times, call ahead between 9 and 11 a.m. to order carry-out, 937-584-4153.

Vote and Vax at the Health Department

Come to the Clinton County Health Department after you vote and get all of your Election Day “coverage.” For your convenience during Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 8, the Clinton County Health Department will offer flu vaccinations during polling times: 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

They are located at 111 S. Nelson Ave., Wilmington, across from the fairgrounds. Please bring a photo ID and insurance card. If you are uninsured, the vaccination fee is $25.
