Five graduates of the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at Laurel Oaks were recently offered internships with Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services located at the Wilmington Air Park.

The interns will have the opportunity to work alongside a mentor in all areas of aviation maintenance including airframe, powerplant, and structures.

“We look forward to integrating these graduates into our Intern Program to provide them the experience and knowledge they will need to begin their careers in Aviation Maintenance,” said Doug Little, Director, Heavy Maintenance. “Hopefully by the end of the summer, they will be ready for their licensing test and they will become part of the Airborne Team.”

The graduates were surprised with a Welcome to Airborne package that included intern t-shirts and items to make their first day a success.
