County officials buy courthouse watercolor

Clinton County elected officials chipped in to buy a painting of the Clinton County Courthouse by the late local artist John Camp. The painting will be placed in the courthouse at an as-yet undetermined spot. Mary Camp donated the watercolor painting her husband John Camp painted of the courthouse to the Health Alliance of Clinton County. Health Alliance of Clinton County felt it would be fitting for the painting to be displayed inside the courthouse, and it offered the county the opportunity to purchase the painting. Taxpayer dollars were not used in the acquisition. The Health Alliance gives funds it raises to a local Cancer Patient Assistance Program and also toward two medical scholarships awarded annually to assist employees working in a medical field or office in Clinton County.
