In July of last year, First State Bank debuted its newly constructed full-service location at 1584 Rombach Avenue in Wilmington.

Over the last year, the staff has enjoyed the opportunity to get to know customers and build relationships in Clinton County.

We look forward to celebrating our one year anniversary and continued commitment to the Wilmington community.

The team consists of Scott Holmer, Business Development Officer, Bryan Smith, Mortgage Loan Originator, Josh Martin, Banking Center Manager, Jacob Shumaker, Lead Customer Service Representative and Tasha Ross, Customer Service Representative.

Our mission at First State Bank is to “serve our community with passion” and we have enjoyed supporting local charitable organizations and being involved with our local school districts. In the spring of 2019, we had the opportunity to help the local playground build and we are a proud supporter of Leadership Clinton, Clinton County Youth Council and the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

During the pandemic, we donated $1,000 to the Clinton County Homeless Shelter to help those in need during that time.

We offer customers a full range of products including traditional, personal, commercial and agricultural loan and deposit solutions.

Additionally, First State Bank customers have the option of convenient online and mobile banking. FSB Mobile App users also have the option of mobile check deposit, so checks can be deposited anywhere, anytime.

Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and high value products while enhancing shareholder value, First State Bank has been a trusted and respected community institution since 1884.

With banking center locations in Adams, Brown, Clinton, Highland, Fayette and Hamilton counties, all banking center operations and management are locally controlled.
