WILMINGTON — The Rodger O. Borror Middle School wrestling team finished third Saturday at the Hurricane Invitational junior high wrestling tournament Saturday.

Miami Trace won the tournament with 160 points while Eaton was runnerup with 139. Wilmington had 103. Clinton-Massie was seventh with East Clinton 15th.

For the young Hurricane, Tristan Skinner was first at 86 pounds, pinning Levi Mason of Goshen in 32 seconds in the championship match. Josiah Puller had a tech fall win of 19-4 over Lilly Hendricks of Greeneview in the title bout at 98 pounds.

AJ Kirk at 80 pounds was a runnerup as was Max McCoy at 92 pounds. Donavon Perdue was second at 205 pounds.

For Clinton-Massie, Connor Musser was champion at 92 pounds, pinning McCoy in 3:56. Jackson Doyle was second at 128 pounds Dillon Mounce finished third at 122 pounds, pinning Cade Douthit of Eaton in 47 seconds in the consolation final.

East Clinton did not have any wrestlers place in the top four. Landen Kaun, Hudson Singer, Thomas Hood and Ben Cline won matches for the Astros.
