WILMINGTON — The Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team fell to Muskingum University 20-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference contest Wednesday at Townsend Field.
Despite a dreary day punctuated by periods of intense rain, the weather at the first face-off was sunny if a little chilly. Wilmington entered the contest without a few key players but put on a gutty performance.
Wilmington’s Gabe Shaw picked up a ground ball and not only cleared it himself, but was able to score an unassisted goal.
Wilmington will host a small ceremony honoring its seniors Saturday just before hosting John Carroll University in Williams Stadium at 1 p.m.
