Massie boys win Copeland MS Invitational

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The Clinton-Massie Middle School boys won the Andy Copeland Middle School Invitational track and field meet Wednesday at Chick Brown Track.

On the girls side, Clinton-Massie was runnerup to New Richmond with Blanchester ninth and East Clinton 11th.

For Clinton-Massie, Riley Bloom won the 100-meter hurdles, Hailey Myers won the 400-meter dash and Olivia Carpenter won the long jump.

Emma Hartmann was second in the high jump for Blanchester. For East Clinton, Kiera Null was fourth in the discus and Kenzi Terrell was fourth in the 400-meter dash.

For the boys, Blanchester was fourth and East Clinton 12th.

”We had many PRs for the season,” Massie boys coach Jim Wagner said.

Shane Wilson of Clinton-Massie won the 100-meter dash and the long jump while finishing second in the 200-meter dash.

Blanchester had first-place finishes by Casey Gilbert in the high jump as well as the 4×100-meter relay.

East Clinton’s best finish was by Max Gulley, third in the shot put.
