The team of Jeremy McGraw, Clyde Snow, Jason Fox and Chad McLees shot an 18-under par and won the second annual East Clinton football golf outing at the Elks 797 Golf Course on June 25.
The second place team of Jack Bishop, Gary Bishop, Ron Stauffer and Jim Mandrell had a 16-under par final score. Jack Bishop had the highlight of the tournament, though, recording a hole-in-one on No. 9.
Prize winners were Landon Mellinger (longest drive), JT Croghan (longest putt made) and Jeremy McGraw (closest to pin).
East Clinton football coach Steve Olds said many local families and businesses sponsored the event. “With a special thanks to the Elks Golf Club and their employees for being such gracious hosts, the East Clinton Athletic Boosters for co-hosting the outing,” he said.
Among items for the raffle, the EC boosters donated two season passes to East Clinton athletic events, Quali-Tee of Wilmington and Washington Court House donated several items and Moeller Brew Barn donated six tickets to a Dayton Dragons baseball game.
Sponsors for this year’s outing were Uhl’s IGA, Trusty Insurance, Bean Farm & Drainage, Neanover Excavating, Biggie Inc., Sabina Sunoco, Coldwell Banker Heritage, Ag Pro, Littleton Funeral Home, the Boysel Family, Pittser Eye Care, Caribou Sanitation, Vital Fitness, the Brett Wightman Foundation, Buckeye Harvest, Barton Farms, McFadden Family Farms, Pierson Excavating, Imagine That Tool Rental, 3C Ag Supply, Jay Rueger of Cassady Schiller CPAs & Advisors, and the Runyon and Croghan families.
