EC freshmen open volleyball season with 2-0 win

BAINBRIDGE — The East Clinton freshman volleyball team defeated Paint Valley 25-23, 25-9 Monday in the season opening match.

Rhielynn Lightle had five aces and two good passes for East Clinton.

“The girls have put in a lot of work over the summer to prepare for the transition into high school and it definitely showed,” coach Angie Collom said. “I look forward to watching this team grow and have success this year.”

Karsyn Jamison had three kills, three aces, three digs and a block. Emily Arnold had six assists and an ace. Colie Murarescu had two blocks, a kill and an ace. Hayley Carroll had 12 good passes and three aces. Kaylin Childers had two passes and ace. Keira Null contributed with two aces and a kill.
