Astro volleyball produces JV win over CNE

LEES CREEK — With a strong performance, the East Clinton junior varsity volleyball team defeated Clermont Northeastern 25-20, 25-8 Tuesday night at the EC gym.

East Clinton is 9-3 overall and 7-0 against SBAAC National Division rivals. Coach Bob Malone said the team passed, set and hit the ball well, playing smart Astro volleyball.

Makayla Seaman had a kill and a dig. Liz Schiff finished with an ace, seven points, five kills, four digs and a set assist. Abbi Reynolds had three aces, six points, four kills, a pass and a dig. Cheyenne Reed had a point, two kills and four assists. Karsyn Jamison finished with four aces, eight points, three kills, four digs and a block.

Hadlie Clark had two passes and five digs while Sydney Beiting had six digs and five passes. Taylor Barton totaled eight perfect passes and two digs while Emily Arnold posted four aces, 13 points, four kills, four passes, two digs and 14 set assists.
