CEDARVILLE – The Wilmington College women’s track & field team battled Mother Nature and the competition Saturday at the windy and rainy Cedarville University Invitational.

Emma Burke was fourth (15.7) in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth in the 400-meter dash (62.48).

Wilmington also had two field individuals earn points for the squad. Morgan Loomis threw the javelin 93-10 and finished third while Kayli Sullivan also took third in the hammer throw (136’ 10”).

“We did a nice job of battling some difficult conditions,” said WC head coach Ron Combs. “I’m happy that everyone came out of the meet healthy.

As a team, the Quakers finished in 11th place with 23 points as well as placing third among NCAA Division III schools in attendance.
