Top of order carries Falcons to 16-3 win

LEESBURG – The top of the Clinton-Massie lineup wore its hitting shoes to the game Wednesday and the Falcons clobbered Fairfield 16-3 in a non-league game at FHS.

Tyler Lewis, Luke Chappie and Seth Goodall were a combined 9-for-11 hitting with seven runs scored, nine runs batted in, three doubles and two homeruns.

Lewis led the game off with a homer and following a Chappie double, Goodall homered for a 3-0 CM lead.

Massie is 3-3 on the year.

Dom Kerns earned his first pitching win, striking ou seven in the five inning game.
