EC bowlers split with ‘Burg in opener at Royal Z

WILMINGTON — The East Clinton bowling teams opened their season Monday night and split matches with Williamsburg at Royal Z Lanes.

The EC boys were victorious 1,997 to 1,750. The Astros had team games of 819 and 764 with bakers totaling 414.

Coach Dale Wallace said Zack Adams had the individual high game with a 185. Freddy Morgan had 184 and 147. Andy Gilliland finished with 161 and 160. Grant Wisecup had 173 game.

On the girls side, an single high baker game of 146 was not enough to give EC the win.

August Morgan had games of 162 and 133. Tessa Bosier finished with 151 and 139, coach Joe Davis said.
