The Blanchester seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams split games with Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School on Monday.

The eighth grade Wildcats were defeated by Wilmington 44-38. Bryce Sipple led Blanchester with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Jansen Wymer had nine points, eight rebounds and three assists. Cole Bradley contributed five points and eight rebounds. Quentin Rice, Nick Taylor and Xander Culberson had two points each. Taylor also hauled down five rebounds.

The seventh grade Wildcats were 26-24 winners over the young Hurricane.

Nainoa Tangonan had 10 points and four steals for BMS.

Sammy Roush finished with eight points and five steals while Kaden Cromer had six points and seven rebounds.

Bryce Burress had six rebounds and scored two points. Cole Mueller, Isaiah Snader, Levi Turner, Gabe Black and Evan Malott also contributed to the win.
